Olympique Lyonnais and OL Lyonnes, in partnership with adidas, have unveiled their new home kit for the 2025/26 season. More than just a kit, this jersey pays homage to the founding roots of the city of Lyon, formerly known as Lugdunum, the capital of Gaul during Antiquity.
Its design is directly inspired by Lyon’s rich Gallo-Roman heritage. The jersey is distinguished by its central red and blue stripe, a powerful symbol of the club, enlivening the refined visual inspired by a Gallo-Roman mosaic printed on the front, which reproduces an ancient work discovered in the heart of the city. As a nod to this foundational era, the inscription “Lugdunum” adorns the back of the collar, reinforcing the link between the club, the city, and its heritage, like a subtle yet powerful tribute to the history of the capital of Gaul.
Designed down to the smallest detail, this jersey blends tradition and modernity. It features the iconic Teamgeist collar, popularized during the 2006 World Cup, giving this unique piece a distinctly retro feel.
