With a wealth of experience on the French and European stage, Ashley Lawrence joins the OL Lyonnes squad with her athletic profile, capable of playing equally well on the right or left side of the defense.
At 30 years old, Ashley Lawrence boasts an impressive track record. After two seasons with Chelsea, where she played 60 matches for the Blues, the Canadian full-back won two Women’s Super League titles (2024, 2025), as well as an FA Cup (2025) and an English League Cup (2025).
Before her time in London, Ashley Lawrence made her mark in the French league, where she played for six seasons and made 112 appearances. In France, she won a French league title (2021) and two French Cups (2018, 2022) with PSG.
The Toronto native is also a key figure for the Canadian national team, with a total of 147 caps, 125 of them as a starter. First called up to the senior squad in 2013 at the age of 17, Ashley Lawrence has since won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics before becoming an Olympic champion in Tokyo in 2021.
The club is delighted to welcome Ashley, who will complement Jonatan Giraldez’s roster thanks to her experience and leadership.
