Christiane Endler joined the club in 2021 and has since established herself as a key player in Sonia Bompastor’s squad. Voted best goalkeeper in the league at the UNFP Awards for three consecutive seasons (2021, 2022, and 2023), “Tiane” has added to her list of achievements by winning two French championships, two Champions Trophies, one Women’s Champions League, and one French Cup with the club.
The 32-year-old Chilean has played 68 matches in all competitions for Lyon. Thanks to her performances, Christiane Endler has made a name for herself on the national and European stage, earning her the FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper award at The Best awards in 2021 and a place in the FIFPRO Women’s XI on several occasions.
Olympique Lyonnais is delighted with this extension, which further cements the Chilean goalkeeper’s place in the club’s history. Christiane Endler and her teammates have made a remarkable start to the season with 12 wins in 12 matches, proving decisive in the D1 Arkema clash.
