A key player in Catalan tourism, COSTA DAURADA has joined forces with the women’s club, which has a unique track record in soccer, including 16 French championship titles, 8 Women’s Champions League titles, and 10 French Cups, to promote the tourist destination to a wide French audience.
The two partners have devised a collaboration focused on extensive visibility around D1 Arkema matches, highlighting the destinations of Salou, Cambrils, Tarragona, Vila-Seca, and Port Aventura on the stadium’s signage systems and the club’s digital networks.
Other activations will also be organized around OL Féminin matches played at Groupama Stadium or as part of events attended by team players.
“We are particularly pleased with this unprecedented collaboration with Costa Daurada, which will enable our respective brands to strengthen their European reach and open up new forms of partnership driven by a spirit of discovery and cultural interaction.” Vincent Ponsot, CEO of OL Féminin
“At the Tarragona-Costa Daurada Provincial Council Tourist Office, we are very pleased with the sponsorship agreement with the Olympique Lyonnais Women’s Football Club. On the one hand, this agreement demonstrates our commitment to supporting sport and the values it embodies. On the other hand, it allows the Costa Daurada to become better known in the city of Lyon and, little by little, to become a leading vacation, cultural, food and wine, and sports destination for families. I would like to remind you that the Costa Daurada has more than 80 km of beaches and coves, six UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the city of Tarragona and the Cistercian monastery of Poblet, excellent cuisine with specialties from the sea and the mountains, and six different wine appellations of origin, among many other attractions. Add to all this the fact that it enjoys a climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and I can assure you that the Costa Daurada is one of the most important holiday destinations in the Mediterranean.” Carles Brull, President of the Tourist Board.
“The French market is the Costa Daurada’s main international market, and we want to retain its loyalty and continue to boost its growth. That’s why we sought a sponsorship agreement that would give us high visibility and also add value through this world-renowned women’s club with so many fans. ” Berta Cabré, President of the Federation of Hotel and Tourism Businesses of the Province of Tarragona.
