At 27, the Norwegian Ingrid Engen joins Lyon after four seasons with FC Barcelona, during which she played 152 matches in all competitions and won no fewer than 13 trophies. A two-time winner of the Women’s Champions League in 2023 and 2024, she also boasts four Spanish league titles, four Spanish Super Cups, and three Copa de la Reina titles.
Possessing strong technical ability on the pitch, Ingrid Engen is also a versatile player capable of playing both in central defense and midfield.
Accustomed to major European matches, the Melhus native, who was developed in Norway, also played in Germany for two seasons. With VLF Wolfsburg, she won the German Championship in the 2020/2021 season and two German Cups (2020, 2021). This summer, Ingrid Engen will play in the European Championship in Switzerland alongside her Norwegian national team captain and teammate, Ada Hegerberg.
The club is delighted to be able to rely on Ingrid Engen’s experience and qualities for the next two seasons and is pleased to have convinced her to commit to the Lyon project.
