The French national team remains top of its World Cup qualifying group after a comfortable 4-1 victory over Poland. In Dijon, Marie-Antoinette Katoto struck again, scoring as early as the 20th minute before doubling the lead in the 40th. Our Lyon player Kadidiatou Diani added another goal to seal the 4-1 result in the 71st minute. It was a second victory for Laurent Bonadei’s side following their win over Ireland (2-1).
Germany’s Jule Brand faced Norway’s Ada Hegerberg and Ingrid Engen in the second round of World Cup qualifying. During her team’s convincing 4-0 win, our forward stood out by scoring the fourth goal in the 58th minute before being substituted in the 81st. Germany now sits top of its group.
Sofie Svava and Denmark shared the points with Italy in their second World Cup qualifying match. Danish player Olivia Holdt equalized after good work from our Lyon defender down the left flank.
Our two Norwegian players hosted Jule Brand’s Germany in Stavanger. Ada Hegerberg, wearing the captain’s armband, and Ingrid Engen both started the match. Despite the 4-0 defeat, Norway remains second in its group.
Damaris Egurrola, once again in the starting lineup, also featured in her second qualifying match. After drawing with Poland, the Netherlands secured a 2-1 victory over Ireland. The Oranje’s next fixtures will come in April with a double-header against France.
After defeating Italy 1-0, Sweden hoped to continue its momentum against Serbia. However, the two teams could not be separated on Saturday and drew 0-0. Elma Junttila Nelhage started in central defense.
USA won the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, their eighth title in the competition’s history. Lily Yohannes (who started the match), and Lindsey Heaps (who replaced her Lyon teammate in the 61st minute), helped the USWNT defeat Colombia 1-0. The Americans’ next fixtures will take place in April with a three-match series against Japan.
After a victory over Costa Rica (5-2) and a defeat to Venezuela (2-1), Brazil played a third preparation match for the 2027 World Cup (which will be hosted on home soil). Tarciane and her teammates defeated Mexico 1-0.
Our young Lyon players particularly impressed with the French U19 team! Romane Rafalski (1-0, 4′) and Maïssa Fathallah (2-1, 31′) scored the two goals in France’s victory over Norway on Friday. The French side will play its Elite Round qualifiers for the European Championship in April.
