The 28-year-old striker Kadidiatou Diani, currently with the French national team for the 2023 World Cup, already has several seasons of experience in the French league.
Trained at FCF Juvisy (now Paris FC), the striker made her professional debut with her youth club before joining Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2017. Recognized for her talent, the player really came into her own during the 2018/2019 season, when she was voted best passer in the French league (12 assists).
After six seasons with the capital club, Kadi gained experience and distinguished herself through her consistency and efficiency (168 matches and 91 goals in all competitions). Thanks to her performances on the field, the former Parisian has won the French Cup twice (2018, 2022), a French Championship (2021), and the title of best player 20/21 at the UNFP awards and the D1 Arkema awards. Also voted best player in the league at the D1 Arkema awards last season, the striker finished top of the scoring charts with 17 goals in 17 first division matches.
Sought after by many European clubs, Olympique Lyonnais is delighted with Kadidiatou Diani’s choice, convinced by the club’s very high ambitions. The French international, who scored three goals on Wednesday in the World Cup against Panama and qualified for the round of 16 with five of her future teammates, completes the squad.
