Over the course of a year and a half, the 29-year-old world champion Lindsey Horan has added to her list of achievements with the club, winning two French Championships (2022, 2023), one Women’s Champions League (2022), one Trophée des Championnes (2023), and one Coupe de France (2023). With extensive experience in France and the United States, the midfielder quickly integrated into the team led by Sonia Bompastor and has already played 37 matches and scored eight goals under her leadership.
Olympique Lyonnais is delighted to continue its collaboration with the United States captain (128 caps, 27 goals), who will be competing in the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in a few weeks’ time.
The American’s permanent transfer, which comes on top of the contract extensions of two other midfielders, Daniëlle van de Donk (2025) and Inès Benyahia (2026), confirms the players’ desire to commit to OL for the long term and continue to write the club’s history on the French and European stage.
