A true attacking asset for Lyon this season, “Corventina” has climbed to second place in the French Championship’s top scorers list with 15 goals in 16 matches. Her performances in the Arkema Première Ligue earned her a place in the team of the season alongside six other Lyon teammates.
Decisive in big matches, Melchie Dumornay also shines on the European stage. With six goals in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the midfielder is joint top scorer for the team in this competition. In nine matches, she has twice been named player of the match, in the first legs of the quarter-final and semi-final.
At just 21 years old, and since joining the club in 2023, Melchie Dumornay has amassed a total of 45 appearances and 30 goals in all competitions for OL Féminin. The 21-year-old is proud to represent her country, Haiti, in Europe and has become, through her performances with her club and the national team, an iconic figure in her country. Last October, she was named CONCACAF Women’s Player of the Year for the 2023/2024 season, during which she won her first two trophies: the Trophée des Championnes and the French Championship.
Now under contract until 2029, the club is delighted to continue writing its story with Melchie Dumornay and to support her development as she strives to achieve her goals, both collectively and personally. This three-year extension, following in the footsteps of Selma Bacha’s, illustrates the club’s confidence in its talented players and its commitment to building a competitive team capable of competing on the national and European stage in the years to come.
