Summary
Very early on, Lyon created the first chances and opened the scoring in the 4th minute from a corner taken by Inès Benyahia. Sofie Svava met the delivery at the far post and powered a header in to score the first goal of the match.
Lyon continued to push throughout the first half. In the 34th minute, Tarciane launched a fine counter-attack that ended with a pass to Jule Brand, whose cross was ultimately stopped by the goalkeeper. Then, in the 45th minute, Maïssa Fathallah came close with a superb strike that hit the crossbar of the Le Havre keeper.
Lyon went into the dressing room with a narrow lead thanks to Sofie Svava’s opener.
After the break, they quickly doubled their advantage. In the 50th minute, Marie-Antoinette Katoto converted a penalty after a foul on Jule Brand inside the box.
Lyon kept up the momentum. In the 60th minute, from an accurate cross by Lily Yohannes, Damaris Egurrola rose above everyone to head in the third goal of the match.
Ten minutes later, Marie-Antoinette Katoto once again made the difference with a brilliant headed flick that released Jule Brand in behind. The forward went through one-on-one with the goalkeeper and stayed composed to score the fourth goal.
In the 75th minute, Jule Brand delivered a good cross to Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who intelligently set up Lindsey Heaps. She finished the move with a perfectly controlled strike.
Two minutes later, Kadidiatou Diani provided a cross for Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who rose above the defence to head home and complete her brace.
In the 81st minute, after a scramble inside the box, Korbin Shrader reacted quickest to the loose ball and finished to further extend the scoreline.
OL Lyonnes went on to secure a dominant victory and booked their place in the French Cup semi-final, where they will face Strasbourg.
