Endometriosis, a complex and long-ignored disease affecting 1 in 10 women, is responsible for pelvic pain that can lead to chronic pain, as well as many other symptoms depending on the location of the lesions. It can also cause infertility. The quality of life of those affected is very often impacted, whether in their personal, marital, professional, or social lives. Beyond simply knowing and recognizing the disease for better management and the earliest possible diagnosis, it is therefore important to learn how to live better with it on a daily basis.
Under the leadership of its President, Michele Kang, who is committed to women’s health and performance, and in conjunction with the 21st European Endometriosis Awareness Week, held from March 3rd to 9th, Olympique Lyonnais Women (OL Féminin) is taking its responsibility as a major player in French women’s sport seriously by supporting the fight against endometriosis through two initiatives:
- The organization of a roundtable discussion on “Understanding and Living Better with Endometriosis,” featuring medical experts and public figures. Held at Groupama Stadium on Wednesday, March 26th (5:00 PM), prior to the Champions League quarter-final second leg, registration for the roundtable is now open (accessible to match ticket holders)!
- A solidarity ticketing system has been set up for the Champions League quarter-final second leg: for every ticket purchased at the solidarity price, 2 euros will be donated to the French endometriosis association, EndoFrance.
