Ada Hergerberg joined OL in 2014 at the age of 19 after honing her skills in Norway and then Germany, with a reputation as a promising young player. Over the course of her six years in Lyon, she has become one of the best in the world. Prolific from her very first season, the Norwegian scored 34 goals in 32 games, then 54 in 35 games the following season. Above all, she enjoyed her first successes on the European stage, winning her first Champions League in 2016.
The Champions League is unanimously recognized as the competition in which the greatest players reveal themselves, so it was only natural that the striker achieved her greatest feats there: top scorer in 2016 and then in 2018, author of a hat trick in the final in 2019. Ada Hergerberg became the most prolific woman in the history of the competition at just 24 years old… a few months before winning it for the fifth consecutive time, something never before seen in women’s football.
In 2018, she made history in her sport by being named the first Women’s Ballon d’Or winner ever. With six French league titles, five French Cups, five Champions League titles, and 220 goals in 182 games with OL, Ada Hergerbeg has one of the most impressive track records in world football. And despite her serious injury in January 2020, the striker has never lost sight of her goals and is determined to regain her form so she can continue to shine in the colors of Olympique Lyonnais.
