A long-standing partner of Olympique Lyonnais’ women’s team, Vicat confirms its commitment to the most successful women’s team, having won 27 of the 34 trophies displayed in the OL women’s section’s trophy cabinet.
Born out of an opportunity surrounding the construction of the club’s stadium in Décines-Charpieu and the shared desire of entrepreneurs Jean-Michel Aulas, Guy Sidos, and Sophie Sidos to activate synergies in their region, the partnership between the two brands has grown stronger over the seasons.
Supported by the Sportfive agency, this extension of the Official Partnership with the OL women’s team for the next eight seasons (until June 30, 2030) will see the Vicat brand featured on the back of the women’s team jersey, along with hospitality services at Groupama Stadium and dedicated communication initiatives. This long-term collaboration reflects the synergies and mutual commitments between the two partners: a strong presence in their region, a desire to promote diversity, and a shared determination to take environmental issues into account in their development and their business. By placing people at the heart of their projects, the two partners aim to promote the role of women in professional sports and in society more generally.
As a direct partner in the construction of Groupama Stadium, Vicat provided innovative, locally produced solutions to meet the project’s constraints and creative requirements. More generally, both companies are strongly committed to the environment and ecological transition issues. The Vicat Group’s innovation teams developed a low-carbon concrete that was widely used in the construction of the brand-new arena owned by OL Groupe. The “DECA” low-carbon concrete range used for this project contributes directly to achieving the projects’ carbon neutrality objective, thus meeting the requirements of the new Environmental Regulations (RE2020). The “Origine France Garantie” certification obtained for this range demonstrates Vicat’s commitment to local activity that preserves natural resources.
