Wendie Renard, the record-breaking athlete with 477 matches and 38 trophies in a Lyon jersey, ranks third in the list of the 70 most inspiring figures in France. She shares the podium with Teddy Riner and Thomas Pesquet thanks to votes from over 1,000 people in a poll conducted between May 21 and 26, 2024.
A wonderful honor for our captain, who has dedicated so many years to the development and democratization of women’s football. Following the announcement of her contract extension, the club is proud to continue writing its history alongside such an inspiring player.
