A look back at the OL Lyonnes conference: Pregnancy and Sport

Following the success of the first edition in 2025, which focused on endometriosis, OL Lyonnes continues its commitment to women’s health with the organization of a new conference dedicated to pregnancy and sport. True to its pioneering spirit, the club continues to foster dialogue on topics related to women’s sport, essential for female athletes—and more broadly, for all women.

A program designed to inform and alleviate guilt. Combining expert advice and personal stories, this roundtable discussion on pregnancy and sport aimed to be an inspiring and positive event, reminding everyone that motherhood and sports are not mutually exclusive—on the contrary, they can be mutually beneficial.

Around these two universal themes, Professor Gil Dubernard, Head of the Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology Department at Croix-Rousse Hospital, was joined by: Dr. Giulia Gouy, Prof. Cyril Huissoud, Dr. Anthony Atallah, Dr. Mélanie Prudent, Dr. Clara Lemaire, Dr. Anna La Mela-Jumel, Anastasia Ivanoff-Salducci, Ganaëlle Rigondaud and Rémi Pullara (OL Lyonnes staff), Prof. Pascal Gaucherand, and Prof. Corinne Dupont.

To enrich these discussions, renowned athletes shared their personal experiences and feelings. They all spoke about their journeys and how they managed to balance sports and motherhood: Mélina Robert-Michon, Corine Petit, Carole Castellani, Valériane Ayayi, and Cléopâtre Darleux.

A moment for listening and sharing
Suitable for all audiences and all sports, this conference unfolded in a spirit of kindness and the sharing of experiences and knowledge. OL Lyonnes will continue its series of conferences on women’s sport and performance in 2026.
