In the summer of 2021, OL Lyonnes officially announced the arrival of Christiane Endler, considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world and a legend of Chilean football.

A free agent after her time at PSG, where she had just won the club’s first-ever French league title, the Chilean joined Lyon in top form. In her very first season, she was voted best goalkeeper in Division 1, confirming her status.

Having played for the University of South Florida, Chelsea, and Valencia before joining Lyon, she has amassed numerous individual accolades: six-time Chilean Player of the Year, named World Goalkeeper by the IFFHS, and winner of the FIFA The Best award in 2021. She also won the Arkema Première Ligue Best Goalkeeper award in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025.
